“We totally enjoyed the hike with Laszlo. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. He explained all the trees and flowers and fun stories about the history of the region and the people. A great break from touristy things. The hike included wonderful views of Budapest and other towns.”

One Day Wonder Hiking Trip

2.One Day Wonder Hiking Trip

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 87 reviews · 8 hours (approx.) · from $168

Leave Budapest by air-conditioned vehicle for Dömös and spend the day hiking through Hungary’s forested hills. Guides Gyuri and Attila lead a demanding route with Danube Bend views, steep climbs, cliffs, and the ladder-filled Rám Ravine. Pickup, snacks, and water are included, but bring lunch, sturdy shoes, and extra water.

“Beautiful hike! The views were absolutely stunning. I would say this hike was challenging; I’d rate it hard rather than moderate. So definitely come prepared: pack enough water, food (sandwiches, snacks) and anything you might need for the ~6 hour hike. Hiking shoes/boots are definitely recommended. Be prepared to get your heart rate up for the first half of the trail. The last part is downhill and serene. You’ll feel super accomplished when you complete the hike!”

3.One Day Wonder Hike – The Essence of the Danube Bend

★★★★★★★★★★4.9 · 85 reviews · 8 hours · from $170

Leave Budapest by comfortable air-conditioned van for a full-day hike near Dömös. With guides such as Attila and Gyuri, you climb steep volcanic trails to Predikaloszek, descend through forest ravines, then use ladders and rails through Ram Gorge. Expect about 18 to 21 km, strong scenery, and a demanding day outdoors.

“A wonderful and rewarding hiking experience, an opportunity to challenge yourselves by hiking 18km in 8hrs. Some paths are quite steep but the view during the journey is awesome. When we reached the top peak, the view towards the Danube Bend is the biggest reward. Guyri is really nice and thoughtful, he even helped one team member to carry her backpack when she is too tired. Highly recommend this tour!”
