Trade Skagway’s busy waterfront for a two-mile Chilkoot Trail hike and a gentle Taiya River float. Expect a steep, rocky opening section, rainforest plants, Klondike Gold Rush stories, and possible eagles, otters, bears, or salmon. Guides including Danny, Dominic, Owen, Rachel, and Shaggy lead small groups of up to 11.

“What a beautiful day we had hiking and rafting back! The hike on the Chilkoot trail with Joe was super informative and so incredibly beautiful! We saw fauna that we haven’t seen anywhere else and we live in a forest! The hike was active but not difficult if you are dressed correctly. The river float required nothing from us except to sit and enjoy what Joe was telling us and showing us. It was about a 4 hour excursion and we had a blast!”

Ride from Olden cruise pier through the Olden Valley, then hike roughly 45 to 60 minutes each way toward Briksdal Glacier. You’ll see waterfalls, meltwater streams, Olden Lake, and snow-capped peaks. Guides such as Sam, Anna, Alyssa, and Elisabet have led recent departures, with English commentary and a cruise-friendly return plan.

“The bus company picked us up right next to the cruise ship. Coach was very comfortable with an excellent driver. The guide was delightful and her narrative was full of interesting facts and thoughts. The scenery was absolutely stunning the whole way to the Briksdal Glacier. The walk to the Glacier is on a really well formed and wide track with a few stone steps here and there. Although quite uphill in places, there was plenty of time to pace yourself and the walk is well worth the effort. you want to stop often anyway and take lots of photos. Take your raincoat even on a fine day as one…”
