They were capable of tailoring the hike to the travelers’ experience and physical shape. Their dedication to nature and great passion for debate in the local community concerning this trail is inspiring and commendable. They made the hike really enjoyable by providing local insights, such as famous castles along the way, myths and legends, history of democracy and resis...”

You’ll hike about 10 km from Monolithos village down to a remote red-sand bay, then climb to Monolithos Castle for sunset. Manuela has led this outing, which includes hotel or apartment pickup, private transfers, hiking equipment, bottled water, and a maximum group of 10. Expect heat, uneven ground, and a solid uphill finish.

“Our group was just me and my hubby with Manuela. Firstly we were picked up from our hotel. The drive to our starting point was ok. Then we hiked for about 9 km: down to a beautiful beach and then back up to Monolithos to see the sunset. The weather was hot but we had enough breaks to make sure we were hydrated. The beach was really nice. And the sunset was amazing. I recommend this but make sure you have good shoes and you are in relatively good shape. Hiking up and down mountains in hot weather is not for everyone. But we really enjoyed this!”
