“Amazing experience, highly recommend! Views are picturesque, the route is not challenging, maybe slippery at some parts. Guides have good sense of humour and entertain us all the way. Bamboo cooking is fun, we were not much involved in cooking, just helped with some things, the food was good. We finish our tour at hot springs, enjoyable after active day.”

Authentic trek only walk in Chiang Rai jungle

3.Authentic trek only walk in Chiang Rai jungle

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 90 reviews · 9 hours · from $57Best guided

Spend nine hours walking Chiang Rai’s jungle trails with local guides such as James and Wat. Visit Lisu, Chinese, Akkha, and Lahu villages, pass tea plantations, cook lunch in bamboo, swim at a waterfall, and see hot springs. This is a real hike with steep slopes and rough ground, not an easy forest stroll.

“This trip was exactly what we were looking for. It is important to notice, that you really should be physically competent. We had one granny that had to leave at the very beggining of the hike. You go up steep slopes, you duck under fallen bamboo etc. If you are up to it, as we were, you will have an amazing hike with great and funny guides. Bamboo cooking is excellent adon and you also get a nice handmade souvenir from the guides.”
